Thank you for your article. For some reason adolescents are finding it easier to obtain prescription medication. The result is widespread addiction to painkillers among teenagers and young adults. Detoxing off of these drugs is a difficult and painful process. More education is needed to inform these kids on just how addictive and destructive these medications can be. Thanks again for the updated information.

yes, it is very easy to miss the signs of alcoholism. They can be gender specific too. finding a detox and rehab that is geared toward these needs is paramount.

In many cases the problems go deeper than what is on the surface…but like any addiction there is a great amount of shame and denial.
